I have witnessed several pretty violent assaults when I resided in one particular large metropolitan city. It got so bad I decided to carry some type of weapon for my protection when I was on the street. At the time, I did not have a car. Therefore, I either walked or took the subway to where I wanted to go. It was during these times that I witnessed the assaults. Of course, I called the police and one instance; I foolishly intervened when a female was being attacked. This woman I was attempting to help eventually turned on me because her boyfriend got locked up when the police arrived. After witnessing the third assault I decided to purchase some type of self defense weapon in case I was the next victim. I decided to get pepper sprays because they are perfect to carry with me everywhere I go. They are compact and just what I need to fight off anyone who attacks me.
