I like to serve my guests a variety of food items and snacks to eat whenever they visit. I generally keep containers full of biscuits and chips, and also make other food items, on a more or less daily basis as my kids also love eating.
However, strangely enough, I had run out of all snacks on one weekend and did not get a chance to buy more. So I was quite dismayed when a group of my husband’s friends showed up suddenly. I really did not know what to serve them.
I was standing in the kitchen, wondering what to make, something that wouldn’t take much time when my daughter suggested that I use my new Rancilio Silvia espresso machine to serve steamy cups of coffee. It seemed like a good idea. I told my son to run out and get some biscuits in the meantime. My husband’s friends seemed quite pleased and some even requested additional cups of coffee.
